Newton YMCA MissionTo put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.
ELC PhilosophyWe believe that working together and sharing knowledge for the whole child's well-being is the key to success. it is important to support each child individually and meet their individual developmental needs.
Children gain experience through discovering within themselves, their peers, and their surroundings. The early years are crucial to building a good foundation for the child and it is our goal to provide a child-led environment where children grow and develop through hands on experiences. Our loving, nurturing, and enriching environment aids in building that foundation for success. We stress the YMCA Christian principles and core values of CARING, HONESTY, RESPECT AND RESPONSIBILITY. Program OverviewThe YMCA Early Learning Center is a state licensed program that offers 5 day, year-round programs for children 6 weeks to 5 years of age. The YMCA offers a before and after school program as well as a summer program for children in Kindergarten through 12 years of age. We focus on developing the whole child by providing activities to help stimulate the individual child's social, emotional, physical and intellectual needs.

Our philosophy is to maintain open communication between the parents and staff to meet your child’s needs. The vital component to our child care program is our staff. Staff is trained to guide and direct children with warmth, acceptance, concern, approval and respect which helps develop a strong positive self-concept. We believe that parents and staff working together and sharing knowledge is the key to a successful program.
