Hello, my name is Jen Nason.
Gymnastics and dancing has been a love and passion for over 30 years!  My background comes with strong ties and roots to our Newton community YMCA. My experiences range from dance and gymnastics student; 1st place gymnast; gymnastics student teacher then to coach; high school cheer leading coach, judge for competitions, and a positive roll model for communities. I am excited to be back at my hometown YMCA to bring fundamental and physical challenges to all gymnasts of all levels. Our classes will be similar to what would be in place of a level system. Working toward goals and skill assessment to excel to the next level of skills, all the while of having fun and meeting new friends.

 1st Term: Sept. 8 and 9 through Dec. 8 and 9 
2nd Term: Jan. 19 and 20 through April 23.

1st Term Fees Due: Sept. 16  
Recital Fee Due: Oct. 30.
2nd Term Fees Due: Jan. 31

Holiday Parent Review: Dec. 17.   
Each class will design their own simple holiday costume for a parent review night.
Recital Theme: America’s Top Ten
Recital Date: April 23  
No Classes: Sept. 22, 23, Nov. 24, 25 

Tumbling For Tots:
Children will learn large motor skills implemented, and obstacle course introduction to equipment.
Who: Children who are potty trained and 3 to 4 year olds
When: 3:30-4 p.m. Wednesday or Thursday 
Class Maximum: 21 students
Fees: $50 Y-members or $70 Non-members    
Recital Fees: $55 

Level 1 Class:
Includes introduction to front/back rolls, straddle rolls, crab walk, cartwheels, headstands
When:4-5 p.m. Wednesday or Thursday
Class Maximum: 21 students
Fees: $65 Y-members or $90 Non-members    
Recital Fees: $55 

Level 2 Class:
Addition to level 1 skills
Backbends, handstands, front and back limbers
When: 5-6 p.m. Wednesday or Thursday
Class Maximum: 21 students per class
Fees: $65 Y-members or $90 Non-members    
Recital Fee: $55 

Level 3 Class:
Addition to level 2 skills
Front and back walkovers, front. Running round-off, intro to handsprings
When: 6-7 p.m Wednesday or Thursday
Class Maximum: 21 students
Fees: $65 Y-members or $90 Non-members

Dress code: Students with shoulder length hair or longer are required to pull hair back for class. No earrings or jewelry. Girls: Leotard; Boys: T-shirt and shorts.
