The Newton YMCA has two Endowment funds to better secure our future. The operational endowment funds intent is to meet the annual income requirements of the YMCA. The maintenance endowment funds intent is to endow for major replacement or repair. The YMCA facility is 30 years old and is starting to show its wear. There are several ways to make a gift to one of our endowment funds. For information please contact Tom Vanderlaan, Executive Director at 792-4006.

To meet the ongoing needs of the YMCA, we continue to look for ways to raise additional dollars. That’s where the Y’s Sign Promotion comes in. The business community is able to show their support for the YMCA by purchasing promotional signs to hang in the pool area or in the gymnasium. A 4ftx7ft sign costs $1000. A 3ftx5ft sign costs $500. A 2ftx3ft sign costs $250. These signs show the community that you support the Newton community and its youth. Please contact the YMCA for more information on how you can get your business involved!

Family Signs

The Newton YMCA has family signs available in the Family Game Room area. These signs are $100 yearly.

The YMCA is very proud to be able to offer hundreds of programs to the Newton community. We are even more proud that we can do so even if some members have circumstances by which they cannot afford our services. That’s where the Y’s Scholarship Fund comes into play. The YMCA’s Scholarship Fund provides youth, adults, and families membership, program fee, and childcare assistance to over 900 individuals to the tune of over $150,000 annually. If you would like to help the YMCA as a solicitor to raise funds or to make a contribution please contact the Newton YMCA at 792-4006. No one is turned away because of the inability to pay!
