Below are camps from 2017 to give an idea of the type of camps we offer.
The camp will focus on all aspects of the game with emphasis on fundamental skill development from the beginner to the more experienced player. Campers will be grouped based on age and skill level. All skill levels are welcome.
Our tot Gymnastics program is for ages 2 Years – age 4. This camp meets once a week for 30 minutes and focuses on creating a fun environment for children to benefit from many aspects of the sport including balance, coordination, and motor skills.
This camp is for ages 5 and up. This camp meets once a week for one hour and offers an opportunity to learn gymnastics skills while having fun! Children learn by working in small group sizes. In our summer camp instructors are able to instruct a wider range of abilities! All levels welcome!
Dodgeball is an all-time camper favorite. This is a fun filled 1.5 hour program that will include various forms of the game. These forms include traditional, medic, jail break, four quadrant, elimination spud and more. The last day will include a sno-cone break.
The YMCA Soccer Camp is a great opportunity for players to work on the fundamentals of soccer. Our instructors will teach players the basic skills of soccer through fun and exciting drills and games. All ability and skill levels are welcome.
Our basketball camp emphasizes basic to advanced skill instruction and practice in the areas of shooting, dribbling, passing, rebounding and defense. Campers will learn the rules of basketball as well as team concepts and sportsmanship. This camp is ideal for any youth basketball player looking to improve their basketball skills, or a player who wants to learn the fundamentals of basketball.

Strength Training Camp
This training system is designed for athletes that are motivated to maximize their ability to enhance their muscle tone and strength and control their body with the intended purpose of improving their athletic performance on the field, court, and track.
Warm up, weights, band, balls, games, cool down.
Swim Stroke Camp
Swimmers that attend this camp need to swim 25 meters (1 length) of the pool unassisted. This camp is designed to help swimmers develop their four basic swimming strokes; Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Freestyle. They will learn basic fundamentals of each stroke to help them build more endurance and to become more efficient in each stroke. Even if they never pursue swim team, they will have the skills and knowledge needed to make lap swimming a lifelong skill!
Swim Team Camp
Swimmers that attend this camp must swim 25 meters (1 length) of the pool unassisted. This camp is designed to help swimmers better understand what being a member of our Penguin Swim Team is all about! Swimmers will learn more specific stroke techniques on how to be a more efficient swimmer. During this camp, they will learn about swimming starts, turns, relay exchanges, etc. They will learn swimming terms to help them better understand the sport of swimming. By the end of this camp, your swimmer may be ready to join us for Penguins Swim Team!
This course is designed to guide youth in the knowledge, attitude and skills for future lifeguards. This course covers safety skills, accident prevention, scanning, guarding techniques, emergency systems, rescue skills, first aid in aquatic environments, legal responsibilities, and pool maintenance basics. Junior Lifeguarding is an effective transition from the advanced swim lessons or competitive swimming and challenging participants to stay involved with aquatics. This course does not certify participants in first aid, CPR, AED or as a lifeguard.
Speed, Strength, & Agility Camp
This training system is designed for athletes that are motivated to maximize their ability to swiftly move and control their body with the intended purpose of improving their athletic performance on the field, court, and track.
