Group Swim Lessons


Welcome to the Newton YMCA's "Learn to Swim" Program, or our Group Swim Lessons! This program will focus on building comfort within the water and enhancing swim techniques, as one advances through the different levels.

Beginner

Ages 4-14 based on ability

Introduction to the water!

Focus on foundational skills like

​float, kick and strokes!

Intermediate

Ages 4-14 based on ability

Build up your skills with more

​endurance and stroke techniques!

Advanced Water Safety

Ages 4-14 based on ability

This course focuses on advanced

swim techniques as well as

​handling open water emergencies.

Parent-Led

Ages 6 months to 4 years

Babies/Kiddos can explore the

​water with the support of an adult. 

Adaptive Youth

Ages 6 months to 18 years

Designed for children who need

adaptations to any of our 

curriculums.

Swim Team Prep

Ages 6-14 based on ability

Introduction to competitive swim!

Refine technique/endurance, learn

flip turns, "Mini Meets" and more!

Welcome to the Newton YMCA's ADULT "Learn to Swim" Program! These programs will assist with wherever you are in your swim journey. From building comfort in the water to enhancing swim techniques, all the way up to our "Masters" programs!

Preschool Level 1-2
Monday: 5:30-6:00pm
Ages: <5 years

School Level 1-4
Monday: 6:00-6:30pm or 6:30-7:00pm
Ages: 3 years - 7 years

Adult
Tuesday: 10:00-10:30am
